Ah, showers are one of the best things for our sense of soothing, seriously love them. @Blackcloud
Happy to check-in on you!!
Eeeep! So exciting, what are 3 things you are feeling about starting your course?
Ah, what a great idea. Do you have a meal plan for this week? I am terrible at cooking, so I might steal it... hehe 🙊

@AuntGlow 3 things I’m feeling about starting my course: indifferent, nervous, and a bit anxious…
yeah I’m thinking by the time I receive it to my accomodation, I’m thinking of making stir fried veggies again and eating it along with some white rice and homecooked chicken. 🤔😋

Hey @Blackcloud
Congratulations in lifeline - ide like to do that but I don't think I'm strong enough yet.
But years ago I did Salvation Army care line councelling.
It was a bit clicky when I was there but it was years ago and you wouldn't have that problem anymore.
I bet you are going to shine ... .

@PeppyPatti I already did my first placement shift for lifeline last month but that didn't go the way i expected or wanted it to be before that shift... i'm not very looking forward to my next placement shift which is this saturday but after getting a bit of reassurance and some advice from the volunteer lead after i sent them an email about it today, i guess i'm kind of ready for the saturday's shift?
my first shift felt difficult because I wasn't able to get a single 'completed' interaction with all the help seekers I've talked to, and apparently to get into the 'crisis supporter' stage you have to complete at least 1 interaction with your 2 placement shifts in order to move from the placement stage to the crisis supporter stage

@rav3n @Cuddlebear not doing the best. Also, I don’t know why I’ve been having some flashbacks to the bad things that happened to me back in both primary and high school and I’ve been having this happened since recently….🤔🤨 but also I know that the people that treated me back then (especially a certain someone) was the reason that I’ve became a different person, compared to how I was particularly to my parents and sister before my personality and stuff changed since starting from year 5 … 🤷♀️
seriously I don’t know why I’ve been getting these flashbacks all of a sudden recently and I wish I can magically make them go away. Like I know we can’t control what happened in the past, but time doesn’t heal all wounds either.

hey @Shaz51! how are you going? 💙
@Blackcloud i'm so sorry to hear about those flashbacks, it can be overwhelming when they pop up out of nowhere and stick around. have you had a chance to chat with your psych about this?
it does suck not having control of the past, and being reminded of those upsetting times. i hope you're able to be gentle with yourself. time alone might not heal those wounds, but taking your time to work through, accept and let go can be helpful - but i will admit, it is hard work. i'm still working on the letting go part.
we're here for you 💙
