hi @Appleblossom I'm teaching my lil girl to play recorder 😄 She's still a bit little for flute, so recorder is good to start on... but i cant stand the high pitched squeel lol! I'm going to order in an alto recorder and see if her fingers can reach the holes on that. I havent played alto for so long! and lost my range of recorders when i left my ex.
Something good for me .... state of mind is making it hard to notice the good stuff lately but its probably a good exercise to keep looking for the positive anyways. I am greatful for coffee today i think hehe! Its keeping me going and its my quiet time, kids know when im having a cuppa its 10 minutes of mummy time lol!

Hi Lj. I think it was a great idea to start this thread ... now I am developing the habit of looking for something I can post about on it ... which keeps the positive outlook primed.
My daughter did flute. Recorder is a beautiful instrument in its own right. I like its simplicity. Sorry you lost your set. Yes the alto and tenor are beautiful mellow sounds. I took it up again a couple years ago. Also the blended sound of a consort is peaceful and soothing for me.
