Re: 365 Project

Not grateful ... today I found a canola plant ... in my backyard ... hmmm ... this deserves a new thread.

Re: 365 Project

I'm grateful that I was able to summon up the strength and courage to face a mass of people yesterday for Adelaides Moon Lantern Festival last night. That was a first for me, being in a crowd like that. I haven't done it since about 2000! Here's one of my favourite images I captured.

@Appleblossom I sense a conspiracy-theory with the Canola, I hope it's not GM!  Smiley Tongue  Smiley Wink

Re: 365 Project

Maybe its manna from heaven ... or the spirit moves in peculiar ways ... it couldnt possibly be the dreaded M word ... they might sue the hide off me ...I bought olive oil margarine spread today ... I used to buy canola ...

Canola has taken over the area out the front on the other side of the Board of Works fence near my front garden ... and I quietly weed it away ... but not happy Jan ... one sprouted in my backyard .... its not all in my mind ... its out there in the physical universe ... if I point to a plant .. another person will see the same thing ... I promise ... or at least i hope so ...:Woman Frustrated

Re: 365 Project

Today I'm grateful for op shops. I bought a nice second-hand top today for $5. I've dressed myself from op shops throughout my life with some new items when needed. Thanks for the people who donate to op shops and to the volunteers in the shops who are usually very friendly. For those of us living on low income, this all helps. Plus the trip gave me another little bus excursion out of the flat. ðŸ™‚

Re: 365 Project

Today I am grateful for my physio.
My back was aching last night, so much so I didn't really sleep.
Saw my physio this afternoon, dunno what she did, but it hurt like hell at the time. But now I am in heaven. And by heaven I mean wrapped up in blankets in bed.
I am gonna sleep tonight!

Re: 365 Project

Today I am grateful for son's great taste in choosing movies.

Last night we started 1985 movie "Brazil" by Terry Gilliam and Charles McKeown ... Anybody seen it?

We will finish it tonight... great offbeat quirky humour and lots of sight gags ...

Re: 365 Project

@Appleblossom I saw 'Brazil' many years ago, a striking and original movie. I can't remember a lot about it (memory is not always the best these days), but I know I liked it and found it fascinating. Terry Gilliam also directed 'The Fisher King' with Robin Williams, which I also saw and thought was great. It's wonderful that you can share movies and music with your son. My Dad taught me how to play guitar when I was a kid and we also later shared taste in movies in his later years. It means a lot to me that we shared those things.

On a more practical note, today I am grateful for the new hot water system that was installed in the unit we rent. 🙂

Re: 365 Project

@Appleblossom wheee! Brazil is one of my favourite movies ever! And I no kidding once had to deal with a mix up on our database between a Tuttle and a Buttle. You better believe I double and triple checked that!!
