My comment yesterday was not about politics, but about a person who had been publically humiliated, which is something that I don't condone in any form.
I'm sorry I spoke.

I am sorry @Ace85, i am having a bad night, i understand you don't condone humiliation, i just struggle to feel sorry for bullies. I will try to be more forgiving of bullies in the future, they have feelings too i suppose.

Hi @Jacques and @Ace85 I dont believe either of you need to be sorry 🙂 nobody said anything wrong! We're all allowed to have our own takes on things and you are both great people! politics is a funny thing... hilarious sometimes.... crazy... annoying .... occasionally inspiring maybe! 😄
you both give a lot of great ideas and opinions on things that help us all to think in different ways and perspectives, i value that highly 😄
much love!

@Former-Member can you bring that stir fry to Friday Feast? It sounds scrumptious (minus the chicken for me though please). Speaking of dinner, @Jacques @Appleblossom @Ace85 @Bill16 there's a reason why people recommend not discussing politics at the dinner table - people can hold very differing opions that cut down deep into our value system, so having people disagree with our opinions can feel pretty confronting, particularly when people can get quite passionate. Not that I'm saying to not discuss politics, this is more just a gentle reminder that it's not uncommon for politics to be a tough topic to discuss.

Agreed that political subjects and politicians can bring out some passionate responses in all different directions. My mum and grandma used to say never to bring up politics or religion because of the passionate arguments that can arise between otherwise agreeable people. To be honest I never really feel I know what's going on politically because I don't believe most of the sensational junk we are fed in the news services. The media specialises in public humiliation of anyone and everyone they can get their hands on it seems. I value all the voices on this forum regardless of political persuasion.
Since this thread is about being thankful for daily blessings, I'll also just add mine for today. It was routine inspection day at the rental flat I live in, always nerve wracking for me, but it went very well and for that I am very grateful.

My 'feed the man meat diet' has been on a very thin shoe-string but its getting thicker.
Sorry @Ace85 if we had different points of view, that doesnt mean you shouldnt have spoken. It was sensitive of you to notice that and I appreciated @Mazarita's comment about sensationalised news coverage. We cant all agree but I hope we can respect a range of opinions.
Today I am thankful I could go to the good butcher and bought yummy Italian sausages and freshly made Chicken Kiev.
