Strangely,

in body sickness,

my mind heals

itself enough to be

a patient doctor,

watching each day

for signs of equilibrium.

Re: Writing As A Form Of Therapy

in the space between

one person and another

is a different dimension.

there we find and shape

ineffable reality with

barely a doubt or wonder.

larger than any number

magical as mystery

you and I.

Hi @GentleSoul @Sans911 @Mazarita @Faith-and-Hope @Niqueeta @Teej and all of you other wonderful people that my addled wits are incapable of currently tagging...

Just checking in and saying hi and I'm okay... though existentially challenged... but we do the best we can under prevailing circumstances...

Hugs and happy vibes beaming to all... thanks for writing... it helps us all to deal...

Time for a drive-through sermon from the mount...

Twinkle-in-the-eye-wink...

It is necessary to be so very selfish for a time in order to learn how to be selfless. It requires incredible reserves of energy, and much dedication and awareness, to unlearn all that society and we ourselves have laid down on our selves in the form of conditioning and blind unquestioning conformance over the course of our lifetimes. That last self-centred statement itself is living proof.

Nearly constantly, the unaware are trapped and misguided, wasting their precious life energies on trivial matters. Stretched ever thinner, pulled this way and that, there is no respite, no moment of peace that would allow us to stop and breathe and gather our energies.

Overcoming the tyranny and slavery of self is a subtle and complicated journey that many do not even begin, for it is difficult beyond imagining. Climbing Everest is a piffling matter in comparison.

One cannot afford such dedication or exercise such awareness without being very selfish.

The clenched fist cannot let go. In striving to fight your self, there is always ever greater conflict. There are better ways to find your way to the pathless land of truth, but it takes much time steeped in conflict and inner turmoil before you realise this.

Alas, it is necessary to be so very selfish for a time in order to learn how to be selfless.

Why can't you call 505 for emergencies? 505... it's SOS on your phone...

Poem - The Rise and Fall

The Rise and Fall

I am an angel in hell and a demon in heaven,
How many deadly sins? Huh... only seven;
Seven times seven times deadly sins I've had,
I crossed myself to get the nod from dear old dad;
Behold the burning feathers of my wings as I fell,
I am a demon in heaven and an angel in hell.
