saw a doctor the other day and she said to be careful with inflammation creams as they can be absorb into the body and affect the kidney more --- what, really !!!

Yes @Shaz51 ! I've heard that! All those anti inflammatory creams go into the body and it's not good if you have underlying conditions.
This is a little off track, but I recently learnt that we can't write or draw on chicken eggs because the shell in porous and the stuff from the pens (esp permanent markers), seep into the eggs and can killl the baby chick... or, if you are eating the eggs, then you are ingesting it...

@Patchworks , @Dimity I think i will check with the kidney specialist next as well as what i can use
I only put a little bit on , have to try some heat pads more often

ohh yes i have heard about the eggs @tyme
soo true like spraying poison on fruit and veges and then we eat them
will have to find other way to help with my pains and aches @Dimity , @Patchworks

That makes it hard @Shaz51, reduces your options. Did she suggest any alternatives?
I hope your scans are helpful @Patchworks . I gather that gps usually don't recommend them but my osteopath asked for mine. If you can get treatment that helps your pain it's worthwhile.
