Re: The magic of tidying

Well THAT is going to keep you busy @TABHad a quick look around and did some quizzes on there. I got told I was a peak performer on one of the quizzes lol?!!! How did you come across Noom? I never heard of them before - and its all done by an app plus video sessions with a coach. You may get put on something like Metformin which was included there as one of the weight management meds. My diabetes educator is also a weight management consultant and she also gets plenty of non diabetic clients

Re: The magic of tidying

It's good you're pushing forward successfully @Former-Member @TAB .

I've had both a Holter monitor (the portable ECG recorder @TAB mentioned) and a 24 hour BP monitoring device that automatically inflates a cuff (that @Former-Member mentioned) and they're different.

Home baked bread sounds good. It's hard find good bread that ticks all the dietary guidelines that's tasty and doesn't cost heaps. Dad used to bake bread - risen twice, punched down and rekneaded - that had a really good texture. No breadmaker. I love the aroma of baking bread.

I need to get back to decluttering after a long hiatus. I'll need to rediscover my visualisation muscle to see what can be done.

Re: The magic of tidying

Re: The magic of tidying

Hi @TAB @Dimity @Former-Member

I have been thinking that I want to retire to a country area close to Albany in the next few years. Thinking that I should probably start getting rid of stuff so that I don’t have to move stuff that I am not going to use. Like all the dvd’s and cd’s that are just sitting there. We haven’t touched them in forever. We use streaming services these days. Just not sure what to do with this stuff. Do you think that the op shops would still take it? People don’t really have a use for these things anymore. Anyway having a good big chuck out really appeals to me. Need to have a chat with hubby about it all. He’s on the same page with wanting to move to the town I am interested in but not when. If it were up to me I would list our house soon as it stands and move asap. We should get about $300k for our house and can buy one for similar money where I am looking. Our house is falling down a bit and is a renovators dream but is in a really nice little cul de sac. The local den of disrepute sold for $250k last year and had busted out windows. That house had an identical floor plan to ours. So yeah it kind of gives us an idea of the type of money we should get.

Re: The magic of tidying

Haha yeah nah @Oaktree you can pick up a descent house in Mt Barker for 250k

Re: The magic of tidying

How is the semi retirement treating you @TAB ? Are you enjoying living in the country? Are the locals friendly? One thing I remember from living in York as a teen is that the locals weren’t very accepting of city folk. Hopefully where we move to the locals will be friendlier.
