Re: The magic of tidying

Yeah @NatureLover as @TAB said just tackle bit by bit. That is what I do with my tidying up. Don't judge yourself, only do what you can. I won't be doing any housework today as I did several hours yesterday. Today will be resting and regrouping.  How are you going TAB?

Hi @Former-Member @Dimity @TAB @NatureLover @Glisten

I went to the shops this afternoon but haven’t actually done any cleaning. Can’t see the kitchen bench under all the stuff, most of which probably lives in the pantry. Could also do with sweeping and mopping the floor. Might get out in the garden and plant some seeds. Well done Smiling_Gecko and Glisten!

😆 Yeah that’s me.

Re: The magic of tidying

I am ridiculously proud of myself for doing a tiny thing, haha! I finally told myself to spend 10 minutes (only) on the small kitchen bench which was unfunctional. It only had space for one coffee cup to make coffee, so I have been eating takeaway. I ended up spending 15 minutes on it, but it's clear!

(And yes, I feel silly as it only took 15 minutes and it's been unfunctional for so long)

The next task is to clear the stovetop which is piled high with stuff, but I don't think that will be today as I have the dentist and Centrelink 😣

Re: The magic of tidying

why not reward yourself @NatureLover  ?

my stove top relatively clear, cupboard tops not though, plus need to make some sort of benchtop and some drawers. thats galacial ATM re progress, ideas, and new ideas, no action yet.

um also avoiding stuff for centrelink that will bite me eventually.Paid extras yest after telling anyone who would listen that had already paid it, swear I did ha ha ..

got dentist thursday, promised it will be messy (brittle tooth removal) and medical tomorrow for a job despite Zero confidence will pass it, have bailed out on literally 5 other jobs in last few months by refusing medical and carrying on like a sook or if no medical will just tell them knee is stuffed ,guaranteed will never ring back .. ha ha ha lol

.. However.. new person @ DES job place yest has registered me for employment at local hire and fire place and said will do application for me lol. Happening as we speak ..

Re: The magic of tidying

Amazing achievement @NatureLover . Well done.

Glad you're doing OK @Glisten @TAB @Oaktree @Former-Member . I've been low and am trying to catch up on stuff. Still getting through a backlog of chores. Trying to reduce inventory in kitchen and bathroom.

Re: The magic of tidying

I did a lot of cleaning on the weekend and was happy with the result. Got to do more this week but was catching up on rest @Dimity I guess doing bit by bit is the key. This house just swallows my possessions. I use to be really orderly but since the CFS in times gone by have struggled keeping on top of housework. But am getting fitter and stronger since blood irradiation. Walking every day now but a long end-of-week stint of housework can really wipe me out.

Re: The magic of tidying

Yes @Former-Member I have to pace myself too. I can't do long stints of housework or gardening so I try to do a bit each day as well as walking
