Re: The Art of Reframing - Back by popular demand!
@tyme I think reframing is an excellent way to train my brain 🧠 Keeping my focus and energy inwards to what I need to do for me.
Doing the basics for yourself is hard slog. There is no fast and easy dopamine rush.
Harder if you have been breadcrumbed into neglecting yourself for whatever cause, like you're going to be rewarded for it.
Reframing is a good tool.
My daughter in law is Chinese. She said we think too much and we need to take more positive action - Do more positive for you.
I’m inclined to agree with her.

Agreed @Glisten .
If you ever notice your reframing, please note it down here.
I'll do the same. I think I do it so much now that I don't even see it as reframing anymore. It's just part of me. And I think that's something to work towards as this is what keeps us going.

@Shaz51 I don’t know how I missed your post about your father and your mother leaving that is so heartbreaking The toxic in-laws.
You got a heavy load there.
My mom died when I was 7. Dad was ADHD before it was a thing. Emotional roller coaster, my needs didn’t really exist.
But here we all are learning the good stuff.

They ghosted me. I’m not good enough.
They ghosted me. They have nothing to bring to the relationship.

Re: The Art of Reframing - Back by popular demand!
Thought "They think I'm an idiot."
Reframe "They want to see me improve"
I had an upset yesterday that really affected me and I felt down for the first time in a really long time. I went to bed feeling down, and thought "Maybe I'll wake up feeling better"... no not really. I was still a bit unsure when I woke up... but as the day went on, things got better, and I've been able to use reframing to help be see the thought from a different perspective.
