Re: Knitting

Hi @Oaktree

Below is the webpage for the beanie pattern that you've seen on this post that I have knitted. You need 4.5mm needles and a counter to keep track of the rows. This is my go to beanie pattern that I knit for charity and the best thing is you can be as creative as you like with it to suit your requirements.

Thanks again for the nice comment! I hope you enjoy the pattern!

Hi @Judi9877

thanks for sharing the pattern. Can I ask - is this pattern for an adult?
I want to knit one for my granddaughter

Hi guys

@Judi9877 @BlueBay

Got the ribbing done for my first beanie thankfully- I can't really watch tv while concentrating on switching stitches all the time. Looking forward to 26 rows of stocking stitch. Think I might swap colours. Stay tuned for further results36AF9A16-3E7C-4123-8200-22BAAB39AC1E.jpeg

So daughter isn't a fan of my colour change but it didn't stop her from asking if I am going to knit her a beanie lol. I guess a trip to spotlight is in our future. She doesn't want anything scratchy and all I have pretty much is acrylic yarn. She also wants a pom pom so I asked her if she was going to make that herself.2B58E136-2958-4EB4-9547-53B6AD0CC8CD.jpeg

Re: Knitting

Hi @Oaktree

Great work on the beanie! Well done 👍. I've also just started knitting a beanie this afternoon as I stressed out about having an Ndis plan review meeting and knitting is what helps keep me calm. Luckily things went okay- my plan is going to be kept the same and im now having it for 2 years instead of 1 to save me from the stress of reviews each year- but I'm still continuing with the beanie for charity. I find that I tend to go to knitting beanies when I'm stressed or anxious as I find the rib section soothing and helps focus my attention on the pattern. It also gives me a chance to be creative with colour choices of yarn - acrylic- and I really enjoy this. In addition to this, I donate them to charity so it's a great feeling that helps not only me and my mental health but gives someone something warm to wear as well.

I'll keel you posted when I complete this beanie as you have done with your posts. Are you using the pattern I sent you a link to by the way? Did the link even work? Keep up the great work!
