Yes, typing the posts is the only form of connection on the forums. We're not allowed to meet up or talk in real life /private messages due to the anonymity rule, which protects us from stigma and allows us to be open and honest about our mental health here online. It's a safeguard for us.
But the friendships and connections here on the forums are real 🙂

@frog I'm not sure where your home thread is...so I'm interrupting this one to say, I'm sorry you've lost your long term trusted GP. I also have recently lost my trusted GP who I've been seeing for 30 years. I've researched new ones but haven't been to try anyone yet. It's very disconcerting and leaves me feeling a bit lost. So you have my empathy!
How did the appt go yesterday with the new GP that you're trying? I really hope you can find someone good and suitable soon.

Noticed you've gone into lockdown too. I hope it won't be too long this time. I pulled out my craft box today and started another 5 d diamond painting picture. It is fiddley but doesn't require too much thinking. I hope today was ok for you.

Hi @seven1164 I hope the improvement continues. I make a big pot of plunger coffee with breakfast and that does me for the day.
I've read that paradoxically meditation with a mantra helps loneliness. I haven't meditated for a while but have found it very helpful when I've been anxious and ruminating. I set a timer for 20 minutes.
I had a good weekend and caught up with some family and friends - just brief exchanges but very nice. Even an sms helps.
Hope you have a nice night - do you watch much TV? I tend more to radio.

Hi @seven1164
I hope you and Susie and Stevie had a good day - walkies and good food for the latter would be doggy heaven.
I'm still adjusting to the loss of my old grey fluffball - the grief surprises me sometimes - it's a week now. My tabby tripawd misses him too.
Do you have any plans for tomorrow or the day after? I was going on an outing with my psychologist- first time ever - but it was cancelled because of lockdown.
Hoping tomorrow is kind to you

Lockdown is making it more stressful but i understand we have to do this.Going out with my support worker today to do grocery shopping. If i'm honest i'm really just going through the motions at the moment hoping whatever is affecting me will give me a break soon.Going to try and concentrate on reading a book.Libraries are closed but i have an ereader and i just ordered a charger from Ebay as i haven't used it for years.

Hi @seven1164 ,
just checking in to see how you are going. Sunny hear today. I usually feel brighter when the sun shines. We've just put away the groceries from an online order and then doing some work in the garden and helping with dinner. Hoping the day is bright for you.

Hi @seven1164 sorry I was late seeing your post. It's good to tag people eg @Lost9 @Historylover @SmilingGecko @Historylover and me @Dimity so we're notified. I'm glad your local library helps with ebooks, mine also has a clickandcollect service for catalogue items.
Is the photo of Susie and Stevie? They're gorgeous little critters. It looks like you could fit both on your lap at once. My brother had a Jack Russell once that was tiny but had a really big personality.
I slept very late today, I've been a bit down. I'll try to catch up with some chores this afternoon. I can hear wattlebirds and lorikeets outside and see a few patches of blue sky so I might even venture a walk.
Take care
Dimity

love the pics of Susie and Stevie. How lovely to have them in your life. I'm never lonely when I have the company of a dog but I guess you crave some people to talk to.
