Re: Taking the plunge
Yea, I guessed it was hard @CheerBear .
I havenโt spoken to bro, Iโll maybe wait for him to ring, but I will possibly change my mind. Itโs tricky caring from a distance. Wanting to let him know I care , without being too much. Family stuff is strained and we are the only ones who keep in touch with each other. I donโt want to spoil it.
A cleaning day, ugh. Good once itโs done though.
Home schooling is really going to be testing for you all. Good luck finding space where there is none. Maybe a bed floating from the ceiling??
The slide is slippery, arenโt they always.
I hope there is some good in places for you today. ๐๐
@eth I hope you are doing ok ish. Sending some ๐๐
@Appleblossom @outlander and anyone else passing. ๐๐๐๐๐

Hugs @Maggie
Yes it is hard to get the caring balance right for brothers, especially one's who also struggle with MH issues.
Sending Calm warm feelings your way.

Re: Taking the plunge
Yes to success yesterday thanks Maggie ๐ It took all day and a lot of Tetris style moving furniture but it looks great now and is so organised. They're all very happy.
How was your yesterday?
Sudden burst of rain just then. Very cool to hear. It only lasted a moment and was heavy enough I can hear puddles on the road as cars drive over them. ๐

Re: Taking the plunge
Well done @CheerBear . Hard work, but satisfying in the end. Happy kids = happy mum. ๐๐๐
My Yesterday was ok. I got quite a lot of cross stitch done, so I might get this finished this year. ๐ค๐ค๐ค
Rain forecast here today also. None so far though. Cold here too.
Hows today looking for you?

Re: Taking the plunge
Super excited to hear you might finish that amazing cross stitch this year! Will you frame it and put it on a wall at your place or is it for someone else?
I have my gig today which I am looking forward to, then that washing and tidying. Supermarket probably too. I'm thinking I might make them school lunches just to keep some kind of feeling that it is actually school time. Not sure what's going to work best for them all yet. We should have a better idea with the little two today.
How about your day today?

Re: Taking the plunge
Ugh to house inspection soon @CheerBear . All this work will help when that does happen. I can turn my flat into a complete disaster all on my own. I remember trying to keep ex tidy. I never achieved it, but it kept me busy. ๐๐
Yes, I will get this one framed, depending on how much it costs. I will keep it for a while, then, maybe hand it on to someone who likes it. Cross stitch is something you either like, or you donโt. Personal taste.
Gig today. I canโt keep track of the days. Itโs like a never ending weekend here. ๐๐๐ Will you be doing research, or talking to people, or maybe both.?
School lunches is a good idea. Itโs going to be trial and error maybe.
Will the two littles do online classes.??? Itโs weird. I have strange feeling watching live stuff. My brain doesnโt do it well.
I have cleaning and a trip to IGA later. Nothing too exciting. Counsellor might ring later.

Re: Taking the plunge
Your cross stitch is stunning. Hard to imagine anyone not appreciating the skill, patience, dedication and work involved, not to mention the beautiful-ness.
I'll be talking with people at my gig which is the best part. It's what I'm there for so it's great to be able to keep at it. Feels weird sitting in my room doing what I do without my supervisor next to me but they're still there if we need, just in a magic fiddly tech way. I'm catching up on a recorded staff meeting I missed at the moment. Lots of feels at how awesome this organisation is and how much they genuinely care about people, us and our families included โค
I am not sure what the little two will do with school. I can't see how it will work with wee ones and the wee ones we have at our school in particular. Maybe some app work, some work they take photos of and send in perhaps. I'll have to try and work out how we can still do our school gig also soon. I'll be chairing meetings remotely I imagine ๐ค Tricky.
Will you keep working at your cross stitch today?

Re: Taking the plunge
I think with the current situation, you have every right to refuse anyone coming into your home @CheerBear . By the sound of your owners, they are very very difficult. I really get the personal space stuff. Itโs a real โ thingโ for me. People in general are to be honest. Iโm surprised your rental people are still working. Housing here is closed. I would have though only necessarily places were open???
Gig sounds like itโs going to be a good day ahead for you. ๐๐๐ Your organisation sounds like the one counsellor does. Caring. They are deliberately keeping it small, so it doesnโt get impersonal. There are good people out there @CheerBear , you being one of them. You are doing a great job. ๐๐๐
Yes, I will do some cross stitch today.
Sending lots of ๐๐๐๐๐
