Hi guys
Thanks for the intro @Shaz51
I have been struggling a bit lately. I was like well if my case manager doesn't deign to ring me then I won't ring her either. I am not too keen for an appointment but I have been struggling with my feelings. I listened to some advice someone gave me here last night and actually called the clinic today only to be told that my case manager was off sick. I guess I will try again next week. 😞

Hiya,
I should have tagged you guys in the previous post but I couldn't remember who had given me the good advice. I am pretty sure there was someone else too in the middle of the night but I can't find it.

Hi @Oaktree ,
Thanks for sharing!
I was under case management for a number of years. I don't know enough about you, nor your MH to know your needs.
But one thing I know about case management is that they generally use an 'episodic model' of care (unless you are on medication that they need to monitor). Hence, if you don't stay in contact with them, they would be happy to leave you alone.
Many people would do well with case management, but don't 'qualify' for one - consider yourself lucky that you have a case manager. They don't keep you on for the sake of it. When I was under case management, I found it worked best when I showed I wanted their help. It was me who contacted the. It was me who did the following up - and this is what showed that I DID want their help. So in a way, I'm glad you contacted your case manager - open communication is best.
It could be different for you, @Oaktree . But this was my experience. What do you think?

Hi guys, how is everyone going. All has been quiet here on this thread. I am doing ok. I stupidly posted on Facebook about feeling depressed the other day (note to self - don't do that). However, something good came of it. One of the ladies from Church offered to take me out to brunch tomorrow her shout so we can have a chat. So you know what? I am going to let her. The only drawback is that I have to get up early in the morning as we are taking her to get her covid shot beforehand.
Looking forward to doing something normal with someone other than my husband.
