Re: Chest Pain and Anxiety
I have been feeling great this week - the medication seems to be keeping my BP stable and my pulse is slower and my doctor told me I look really healthy - and yes - I feel healthy
He has noticed I have a big birthday coming up - platinium - wow - I wonder if anyone in my family will notice - I had better remind them and arranged to take them out for dinner
That will be four and our cats - let's leave the cats at home and go to a hotel where we have enjoyed the cuisine before
I hope everyone is as well as they can be right now

Re: Chest Pain and Anxiety
And now i'm rambling lol
Glad your BP & meds are sorted and you look well. Not sure if i've said but i've just been put on a 3rd tablet to control my BP with not much success. Stress puts mine up.
You be kind to yourself @Owlunar 🙂

Re: Chest Pain and Anxiety
I've been taking BP meds for two years now @utopia@Owlunar@Former-Member@Appleblossom@BlueBay before that it was always low. Now I'm told I have high colesterol, I never eat junk food or fatty stuff. Seems old age is more than creating up on my.
I think the dr issue is very important. I've moved twice in just over two years and tried a few Drs, with really awful results. Yesterday I returned to my old dr, right across the city and it was a relief. I don't think many professionally understand how picking up a phone can be a major hurdle for some of us, let alone everything else.

Re: Chest Pain and Anxiety
You get to choose where you want to go for your birthday. Have you got some ideas? Somewhere where the food is decadent. Lol. A big day to spoil yourself.
I hope @Shaz51 knows when your birthday is so she can post it on the birthday thread. Because just like you @Former-Member - my memory is terrible. Think it's actually getting worse.
@Maggie - I'm 47 & last year was put on cholesterol tablets. I also take an asprin every night - because I had a stroke. Used to take vitamin B1 - when I was drinking. So no longer on that one. Also used to take a blood thinner - as I had clots in my leg after I fell and broke it. Took over 12 months for the clots to clear up. One was 16cm long!!!! Anyway, now it's asprin.
The ambo and the ED nurse the other week had trouble with my blood. First trying to get blood and then trying to stop the flow. I was covered in it. Lol. So the asorin works. Lol
It's very important to have a doctor you trust and like. And I guess sometimes traveling to the other side of the city, might be worth it - occasionally.

Re: Chest Pain and Anxiety
I've been on blood pressure tablets fir a few years now. My blood pressure can go from 130/80 to 200/110 (last Friday). When I was taken to hospital by ambulance last week the paramedic asked what is my normal reading. I told him I don't hzve one. It changes all the time. Yesterday I checked it at work as I was feeling lightheaded and it was 170/100. I called my doctor and by the time I spoke to him it was a few hour later so it prob went down. He said to rest up and he will consider me having a 24 hr monitor.
My family all have high blood pressure. And heart attacks as well.
I'm glad I have a fantastic who understands me snd my worries snd my mental. I worry all the time. I've been like all my life. Which prob doesn't the blood pressure!!

Re: Chest Pain and Anxiety
Hi @Maggie@Former-Member@utopia@Appleblossom
I will be 75 in a few weeks and I don't know if my family will notice that it's an important birthday - they will notice it's my birthday though -
It would be great to make an occasion of it - so I have been thinking of a venue near here where the food is great and being really brazen when I make a booking and letting them know it's my platinum birthday and ordering my own cake etc - my family is great about birthdays - just not in noticing the important ones
There are a lot of other people in my extended family - sick people interstate, lots of step-granchildren and great-grandchildren I see but not often and then my toxic siblings - I can do without that lot -
So organising my own favourite things with my favourite people will be great
It has been a glorious day in Melbourne - totally unreal for winter - cold first thing but I went out for my walk and it was really warm by the time I did this -
