Cataract surgery

Cataract surgery

Totally off the topic of mental health, but as a 30 year old I don't know anyone who has had cataracts.

Has anyone ever had cataract surgery and if so how was it, and how's your vision now?

Re: Cataract surgery

I haven't had cataract surgery but I have several friends both young and old who have had the op.
From what I've been told post surgery can be uncomfortable. Their vision has increased dramatically. 🎶💜

Re: Cataract surgery

How did they find the new lenses - can they read and see distance vision or only one? I'm scared about loosing my ability to transition from distance to close and back again. But I guess I should ask the eye surgeon......

Re: Cataract surgery

Hi @Mazz, thanks so much for your reply. 😊
Can I ask which kind of lenses you chose? Do you wear glasses too?
Can you see at all distances? Far, middle and near? Or do you have trouble accommodating/transitioning between the three?

Re: Cataract surgery

Hi I didnt get to choose the lenses They check you eyes beforehand and take

Measurements and they choose the lenses that are right for you I do wear

Glasses and I dont have any problems with any distances I am just greatful

that I am now able to see I am more than happy!
