Went to the GP this morning about physical symptoms I've been having with the stress of the past few weeks. The spontaneous black eye I developed about two weeks ago has faded now. But in its place has been a slowly spreading red itchy area in the corner of my eye. It's now spread to a patch my nose. In addition I have had a bad one-side headache pretty much constantly for the past few weeks since the stress started. It's not too bad this morning. But all these symptoms together have led my doctor to believe I may have shingles in the eye region. So now I've started anti-viral medication and have to go back to see her tomorrow morning for another eye examination (and I think results of the swab she took today). Shingles in the eye can damage the eye itself so hopefully it will respond to treatment well and resolve of its own accord very soon!
I read that your allergic reaction to the dentist anaesthetic is still giving you some grief, @Zoe7. Sending good wishes for your recovery from it very soon.

I hope there is no further or permanent damage and that the anti-viral meds help clear it up soon.
Some days it really feels like the world is against us and you don't know whether to laugh or cry!!
