Follow up on my last thread.
I tried talking out my true feelings with my friend. I did it respectfully - both to their feelings and my truth. They replied and were seemingly apologetic (which I reciprocated) and apparently sad I might reconsider opening up in the future.
And then silence. Days of silence. I replied, but now I'm just blocked out of that friendship.
I guess I shouldn't have bothered even sharing my feelings. I knew this would happen. You can't ever show someone who you truly are because you will never be accepted.
This, on top of everything else I'm going through, makes me want to self-isolate. Give up on connection.
I don't even know why I'm posting this. I guess I wanted to vent. Maybe this is gonna backfire too. I don't care anymore.

Yes, but here's the thing about honesty, @WretchedKid - honesty is being true to yourself. And that's super-important. Sometimes that might mean that someone chooses not to accept you - but that's their choice - and it's only sometimes. You are being truthful and respectful. Stick with it, because there are people out there who will be drawn towards this.
You are showing up here and we appreciate it. Glad to hear from you. Glad of this connection.

Hey @D4Dolphin,
I didn't reply to this hastily because I was still in a low mood. But I really appreciate your input and I know that honesty is key to determining who accepts you and who doesn't.
Thanks for giving your perspective and comfort.
