Re: Long Term caring and it's problems
Hello @Former-Member @Former-Member
meant to say in regard to procrastinating all of those jobs. I know the feeling only too well. You should see my wardrobe, the office, linen cupboards, stuff in storage. well yes.
I have seen others write treat yourself to something a nice coffee out, healthy snack or whatever or if easier after you have tackled one job.
then of course you celebrate the next day because you achieved the one job and so on and so on.
I am going to try it tomorrow.
Be in touch.
oh another text message from son and was happy with my reply so progress for another day. has certainly made me chirpier. living in the now

Re: Long Term caring and it's problems
@Former-Member omg you made me laugh !!! I have the worst fear of dentists and what you described being pulled off the chair had me roaring with laughter, yes I had that happen too. And no I didn't laught at the time, hahahaha but with you because it's not me, it's hilarious, sorry about that! I did something for me this arvo, yep got outside in the fresh air and watered. Pretty dang hot where I live, so it was great today there was a breeze. Your poor pysio I hope he has recovered from you dribbling... Mohill you have been helping me, appreciate that 🙂

Re: Long Term caring and it's problems
hello @JoJo99
love it yes what would we do without humour
good to hear that you laughed as well after saying that you had felt flat
sometimes that is all we need a slight shift, a slight distraction
watering in the garden out in the sun is very good for the soul as well as the plants!
I love doing that, find it calming. That is when I have stopped procrastinating and get out there and do it.
I didnt get my walk in as my physiotherapist appointment was later of course. never mind.
i shall try and walk tomorrow. i shall try and water some pots tomorrow too.
i have to go to the dreaded shops so might wander down near some of the antique shops and shout myself a coffee.
How do you have yours? I have mine black and strong no sugar just pure caffeine.
How about you matosh? Lapses? Faith? Soul? Darcy?
This will test who reads my posts wont it laugh. Am in a mischievous mood, a very good sign, havent felt this way in a long time. I think it has something to do with all of the contact I have had with my older son and some actual conversation ending on a positive note. Also have had a couple of long chats with my sister, things improving for her and she is more open with me which is great.
Life is sure change. what did forrest gump say? Life is like a box of chocolates..........

Re: Long Term caring and it's problems
Where's this trip you're about to go on?
My day, ha, can't even remember... Oh,
My mum tx that her throat u/s results upset her - but she wont say more 'doesnt wanna talk about it' - I'm guessing the cancer has spread there (as she would want me to think), she'll say when she's ready.
Dads sister has started responding after her stroke yesterday. Not putting sentences together yet or swallowing but saying the odd word and only slight Rt side weakness - so thats good news. Had a good talk with my cuz, we get on well, so glad we've reconnected in recent days, makes the world less lonely. She's one of those people she just 'told her depression to go and it did' thinks the same will work for me... And sometimes it does work filor a while.
Rang my BBro who surprisingly sounded very settled in himself for a change. Only slipped into conspiracies a couple of times. So nice when he doesn't get angry or upset easy. A normal conversation - so good.
Two of my boys have arranged to come visit Mothers Day, even D3 all the way from Brisbane - happy dance 🎆🎉

Re: Long Term caring and it's problems
hello @Former-Member
sorry to hear about your mum and aunt. that is a lot to deal with.
concerns for your brother as well, no wonder you are feeling so flat. you are human girl !!
Lovely to hear about the reasonable conversation with your brother. Doesnt it make you feel so relieved and just lighter. such a blessing. we have to make the most of these moments.
lovely that you are possibly having 3 children visiting on mothers day. something to look forward to not that far away.
at this stage we are visiting my mum at the nursing home with my younger son. not sure about my sister and friend.
my sister is taking mum home for the day on sunday so we will go and see them then as well.
dont forget your treat tomorrow xxx
keep writing doesnt matter about what just get it out of your head xxx
