@Determined

My son sounds like your bub. Thus I often don't go to many places that require no noise. Although he'd probably just talk to everyone and then sit there asking everyone what's happening.

I like your idea. I want to try this. I can think of the things. It's just sometimes I can think the 'bad' thing at the same time.

Something positive- I managed to keep the fire going.
Something grateful- I didn't have to get up at 2am for bubs. So got some sleep.
Something to laugh at- in curious George the dog thought he was in a western and they were singing. It made me giggle.

@Former-Member .... that was a scream ...... ❣️

Re: Focussing on the positives-

Day 10 - 8 June   (Seem to have missed a couple).

Something positive:
I finally submitted my report, it wasn't finished but I was just over it so sent what was done.
Lecturer had given me until Friday but it was getting on top of me so I just sent what was done.
Got the marks back fairly quickly and achieved 73%. That was a surprise. What could have been if it was finished properly.

Something to be grateful for:
Mum folded and ironed all of the washing for me last night. There was so much there I didn't know where to sart.

Something that made me laugh:
@Faith-and-Hope & @Former-Member tried really hard to help out with thier youtube clips but still all out of laughs at the moment. Working hard on fixing that.

Re: Focussing on the positives-

73% is a pretty good result @Determined and an empty laundry basket (not for long though) is a nice feeling.

I'm feeling positive about a nice long chat with my big brother (only sib that I have a connection with) Planning on visiting him soon as he doesn't like coming down to the big smoke.

Re: Focussing on the positives-

73% is a great result @soul given I would have been happy to pass. Was a pretty ordinary effort I thought. Takes the preassure off for the final exam which is a relief.

Re: Focussing on the positives-

Great that you were able to talk with your brother. Trust the visit goes well for you both. Happy also that you are feeling more positive and your children have been so supportive of you.

Re: Focussing on the positives-

Visit yet to be arranged @Determined. Involves a plane flight and then nearly two hour's drive. Will be nice to get away to the quiet and just be still. Rang two of Mum's remaining friends with the sad news today and also cancelled a lunch date with some friends tomorrow as I'm not up to facing the world yet.

Re: Focussing on the positives-

Something positive for today:

My darling went much better coming home than I expected. (Mostly happy I think because she got her own way) regardless of why I am thankful that so far so good.

Something to be grateful for.

For the duration of my darlings hospital stay (3 weeks) bub and I managed over 4000km of travel for visiting (including todays pickup run) without incident. Considering how tired I have been for much of it  I am grateful we made it. Grateful also for the days mum diplomatically took the keys and drove for me. Thanks mum, much appreciated. 😚
