New day, new beginnings!

Hellos everyone! @MDT @Shaz51 @Anastasia @greenpea @Elac

As part of coping today, I'm reminding myself that work will always be there. Hence, prioritise!

Hope you all have a good one!

thanks for thinking of me friends, obviously things are not diabolical right now or I'd be here whinging. I get on most weekdays and do a quick read, but work is super super busy so I'm not staying here long.

Re: Coping Toolbox ( what is in yours to help you cope )

Hi @MDT @greenpea ,

I had a pretty average morning, then I perked up in the arvo when I went for a bike ride with the kids.

I also had a psych session today. It was okay. Just talked about the need to find balance in life so that I don't burn out.

Also, practised the 4-7-8 breathing technique which helps get the body out of fight/flight mode, and reduces cortisol lvls. That is, breathe in for 4 seconds, hold in for 7 seconds and breathe out for 8 seconds. Word of warning, don't do more than 4 rounds of this at a time or it may drop your blood pressure too low.

So that's another strategy to add to my toolkit.
