Skills: self compassion, something I knew in theory, I've actually started to practice. I hope this is the beginning of growing compassion for myself and others.
Hopes: I hope that the sense of community that grew out of having a common struggle will remain and that people will look out for each other more in general.
Also, I hope that I can actually set some intentions (not sure what yet) for positive growth in the year ahead. Maybe solidifying some if the self care I've started.

For me, I feel like one thing that's come just out of this discussion is that the feelings I've had trying to navigate the stormy seas of this year are shared among many others, and I think that while isolation and loneliness have been really common experiences, in a weird, almost ironic way, these experiences of being physically distant and isolating ourselves have in ways, brought us closer and made us more connected than we perhaps may have been before, through what as @frog said, our 'shared struggles'. Also of the huge difference that having purpose can make @Judi9877

Those skills and hopes really resonate with me @frog.
This event has been so awesome. There is so much shared experience this year as well as our unique reactions, and it's very validating to share this. People have talked a lot about self-care and boundaries being so important this year and moving forward that's something I'd like to take on too. Valuing relationships and nurturing them also seems like a huge theme, and something it's so important to keep at the forefront ❤️️
Thank you all this has been an absolute pleasure!!!

I hope my sense of fear of restrictions eases and that I never have to line up for toilet paper again! I hope that people learn from what's happened with this pandemic and everyone realises that having Kmart and Spotlight for example don't always need to be open for them to feel normal. I think I'd like to get back to a simpler life where I'm able to live for me but I'm not so sure with all the uncertainties in the world at the moment. My big goals are for me to look after myself more and look out for me instead of putting others first which is what I've done too many times this year.

It sounds like this year has provided a bit of clarity for you @Judi9877 around how you want your life to look and what you need. That's been the case for so many of us I think.

Hopefully experiences like the toilet paper debarcle will be something we can look back and laugh about in future @Judi9877!! As hard as this year has been, there are some good things that we can take with us from this experience, like going back to simpler things
