Ive recently got dva white card so will now get dbt . currently having EMDR & love it!
However im really concerned for those who will never get either of these

I have BPD and am really struggling with self harm, it daily and constant. I'm doing DBT. I also have MDD and PTSD. I feel isolated as I'm over 40 and I have so much shame about the SH

I agree with you @Fracturedlight Mental illness isn’t something I chose to ‘get’ when I was at uni when I was 25. My uni friends caught colds yet I got mental illness. It doesn’t seem fair that getting treatment for mental illness can be very expensive when so many people are affected by it. There needs to be more done by governments to fund treatments and research into finding possible solutions to what causes mental illness.

Yes the council listened to me cry etc i got heard so i slowly calmed down & the self harm went away
