@Oaktree nice! That’s good to know, I’ll see closer to the date as things open up in my state.
I’ve been accepted for a batyr workshop in March so looking forward to that, it’ll be my first experience learning about mental health lived experience storytelling.

If you don't mind me asking, which State do you live in @IceSkater ? The scholarships are different for each state.
Thanks for the tag @Oaktree 🙂
Also @PeppyPatti may want to join this study group. A diploma in counselling has overlaps with the peer work cert

Actually, you might find that the cert in peer work has a safe story telling unit in it. @IceSkater . So the storytelling course you are doing might be is a good taste of what the peer work cert might feel like.

@tyme @Oaktree thanks! ah I won’t post my state publicly but have researched already and it hasn’t opened yet for 2025 where I am.
Just curious about your general experiences, eg did you have specific placements / organisations in mind already when you applied? Or did you work that out later after you’d started the course.

Actually my dream job would be here with Sane. I don’t know whether I will apply when a position comes up in the near future or whether I will wait till I get my certificate. There are pros and cons for both. If I start working there will be a certain amount of on the job learning which might make my study easier. I would like to work in a voluntary capacity because I get an Army pension.
