Hi everyone,
TW: Trichotillomania details
My daughter was also diagnosed with Autism late last year. I am struggling to find a psychologist in Adelaide that has experience with Trich. Does anyone know of a good psychologist either in SA or interstate for video conference appointments, with experience with Trich? Many thanks

Hi @Nae1
I have always found FB patient groups to be a wealth of information, particularly when it comes to good doctor recommendations.
I'm sorry I can't offer you anything specific, hopefully some of our other members will be able to help you out 🙂

Hey @Nae1 ,
Thank you for opening up and sharing what's been going on for you and your family.
With Trich, it's harder to find a psychologist because you need to find one for teens/children. There are many psychologists who may be able to work with trich, but are not willing to work with young people.
Have you tried services such as your child and adolescent mental health service? Or is there someone your GP can recommend?
Another alternative is to go to ReachOut's Parent and Carer's forum. They may have more ideas for young people. https://parents.au.reachout.com/
