Living with BPD and being from overseas
Hi everyone. I am new here. I have been struggling with BPD for most of my life but only recently diagnosed. I have just come out of a week long stay at the hospital following a suicide attempt. I really can't handle my emotions no matter how hard I try. Being from overseas does not help as I am limited to resources. I really feel I have no one to help guide me through on how to control myself. Endless nights of tears, harm, and thoughts keep eating away at my brain. I want to know of things maybe you do that help you get through the tough times. I just feel like I have let myself down. I hope I'm not overthinking. I hope this is ok to post.

Re: Living with BPD and being overseas
Hi my fellow friend @S98n ,
Thank you for posting. You are not alone. You are describing the emotional roller coaster of someone with BPD.
I have lived with BPD for well over a decade or two. I've struggled with emotions, relationships, depression and self harm for many years. It was psychotherapy which eventually got me back to being able to function in society.
Do you have any support from friends and family? As well as specialist supports in the form of GPs, psychologists etc?
Its important to development a network of supports. Reaching out here on the forums is a great place to start!
Look forward to hearing from you,
BPDSurvivor

Re: Living with BPD and being overseas
The hospital is trying to get me into the acute care team and psychotherapy but not sure how it's looking at the moment. I hope it does work out.

Re: Living with BPD and being overseas
Thanks for sharing, you are not alone. Also, I don't have anyone for me too: no family, no relatives, no partner, 100% alone and no future. Just got to keep my chin up as best I can. Such is life.
