Re: Riding a wave
Mine might get here before yours @Phoenix_Rising - I'm sure a flutterby is MUCH faster than a little turtle

Re: Riding a wave
I am soooooooo sleepy, I can't even find my way to the yoga thread. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. Goodnight @NikNik. It was super nice feasting with you tonight. It seems like ages since you hosted Friday Feast.
This has been a big week in Forum Land with @Former-Member appearing. I super like her...but it is making my missing CherryBomb feelings big all over again, feeling like she's been "replaced." I super super super miss her @NikNik.
I'm super glad you're here. I will snuggle into my shell and float on the ocean knowing that you are here and that you aren't going anywhere (especially now that you are living in your nutella jar! ). Night @NikNik

Re: Riding a wave
I am still buzzing from the fact that there is a new moderator floating around called @flipper I so superly duperly want to say hello. I hate waiting. Waiting is hard. I don't really do waiting any better than I do change.
Good night Forum Land... and especially @Faith-and-Hope who I can see is floating around and for some reason I just especially feel like saying goodnight to you tonight. I feel a bit less safe in Forum Land on the weekends and so it is kind-of nice to know you are near the ocean tonight @Faith-and-Hope.

Re: Riding a wave
The ocean is super calm at the moment. I am so very very grateful for my turtle whisperer. I know she is the main reason the ocean is calm. The weather was super nice here in Sydney today, which also lifted my mood, even though I was stuck inside working my way through my marking adventure. I gave a student a distinction today - yay, I'm not an evil marker after all. I was so sad though because they were tracking towards a high distinction but then they had a bit of a crash and burn.
@CheerBear I superly duperly hope my book arrives tomorrow.
@Faith-and-Hope I'm glad I brightened your evening last night. You always brighten mine.
I super hope @flipper re-appears tomorrow. Hands up who has had the flipper theme song in their brain all day? Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just in case you haven't, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EifnM3pRLdQ
@Former-Member or @Former-Member if you see @flipper around, can you please point them in my direction. I am super busting to say hello. I can't believe you guys found a mermaid AND a dolphin. You are super awesome.
Night Forum Land.

Re: Riding a wave
I'm on the lookout for a Skippy. Now that's a theme song I can really get into @Phoenix_Rising.

Re: Riding a wave
@CheerBear CheerBear, CheerBear, it came, it came, it came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, it sure is bigger than the 1993 edition. Methinks we are definitely going to have to take this sloooooowly to avoid burning out mid-way. What do you think?
By the way, I noticed the other day that you mentioned to someone that I had quoted something from the manual when you were dealing with your super giant muddle earlier in the year. Just to clarify, that was from the treatment manual, not the skills training manual. The skills manual is the actual how-to-fix-stuff book whereas the treatment manual provides the theoretical rationale for DBT and goes into detail about how therapists should work with clients in individual sessions etc. That is the second book listed on the backcover of the skills manual in the box that says "Essential companion volumes from Marsha Linehan." It's interesting that she hasn't felt the need to write a second edition of the treatment manual - I guess because the first edition really is very cool.
How are we going to go about this? If we read 10 pages a week, it will take us 49 weeks to get through it (although really it would be less than that because a lot of the pages are doing pages rather than reading pages). I really have no idea. What are your thoughts?
I super have to jump off the forums again now - I just really needed to let you know my book landed safely.
