Something’s not right

Re: My special place

Bit warm here @Snowie

raining on and off

cancelled work for the next few days for Mr. Shaz -- might have to cancel work altogether soon, i think.

waiting is hard --- to get the outcome of our broken-down car.

we have MIL car to go to the doctors this afternoon, fingers crossed.

Re: My special place

Warm here too @Shaz51 but expecting a cool change. By warm I mean 25!!

Big decision whether to give up work. Must be hard to decide especially with Mr Saz needing your time.

I hope you find out about your car soon and it isn't anything too big or expensive. Glad you have been able to borrow a car.

Re: My special place

Hi @GezzaP, @Shaz51, @Snowie, @Eve7, I hope you all have a lovely day and that you are all doing well đź’–

@GezzaP, I don’t know if this is a bonkers theory. Do you think being sick with the flu can affect BP? I know the flu can affect migraines, but maybe mental health too? I can seem to work out the trigger on the weekend.

@Shaz51, I hope the car gets fixed soon.

@Snowie, it is warm here too

Re: My special place

Hi @creative_writer

How has your day been?

Re: My special place

@creative_writer Hello. I had a nice day today. Went for 3 walks and met up with a friend at the local pub. I had lunch and 3 beers. He had 4 beers.

Maybe the flu can trigger bipolar because you feel awful. But I’m not sure. Must be awful to get migraines. I haven’t had one of those for years and it is years since I had the flu. Hope you feel better soon.

Re: My special place

@Snowie, I’m doing okay today. I took PRN last night, it helped. How are you?

@GezzaP. I’m glad you had a nice day. A catch up with a friend is always good. I think as adults sometimes things get hectic, but social connections are good for your mental well-being.

Mood disturbance and migraines go hand in hand. When I spoke to the GP, he said it was possible the flu triggered the migraines. Inflammation isn’t good for migraines. I guess it probably wouldn’t be good for mood either. GP just suggested OTC meds, if the milder one doesn’t work, I can take the one that’s a bit stronger. Obviously, I can’t take those too often, it’s not good for the stomach

Re: My special place

@creative_writer I don’t know what PRN is but glad it helped. Yes I really enjoyed seeing my friend. Unfortunately one other I was due to see tomorrow had to cancel until next week hopefully. She did her hip.
I am single and live alone don’t do much as I’m retired and just do unavoidable chores I’m lazy when it comes to house and rarely garden these days so need to get out of the house.

@Snowie hope your day was ok and better than yesterday.

Re: My special place

@GezzaP, pro re nata, medication that is taken as needed. It’s not a regular part of my routine, it’s only taken when things feel worse. I hope your friend feels better soon, a hip injury sounds very painful. I think depression does make everything harder, even getting out of bed can feel like moving mountains apart. I think setting small achievable goals helps. I do agree, staying at home all the time can get too much, going out helps, hence why I actually want to get into uni tomorrow, I’ve spent a week and a half doing things from home

Re: My special place

just a quick hello and goodnight b4 I go to bed @creative_writer

I hope you're well  and wish you the best day tomorrow! đź«‚🌟
