I've discussed some things on this forum. If I'm concerned or fearful, like fear of failure is strong, what can I do?

Hey @Dk5 ,
Thanks for reaching out. I hear that fear can be paralysing. At the same time, fear is also an opportunity for us to develop the skills to overcome challenges.
I hear that the fear of failure can be so real.
For me, I work on separating myself with the feeling of fear so that I can look objectively at the task/situation that I fear to fail in. I find that this may help me see a way out or give me a solution.
To do this, I may go for a walk to clear my head, go for a swim, practice deep breathing, grounding exercises, or mindfulness exercises.
I'm not sure if I'm on the right track. Sorry if I'm totally off.

Hey @Dk5 ,
Sorry, I've been away.
I hear that fear of failure is very real and it can stop us doing many things.
I read a book that spoke about joy. If you want joy, you need to be ready to experience pain too.
I feel this is the same with fear. If you want to experience things in life and get satisfaction, then we have to be prepared to experience failure if it comes?
Another way of seeing this is can we reframe 'failure' to be 'opportunity'? It's not about that fact that you 'failed', but moreso that you have the opportunity to do something differently?
There is also another choice. Don't do anything do you can't fail? Then again, it that 'fail' in itself?
I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

I believe it wll happen. @Dk5
Lists help me to some point. I need to 'see' it to get anything done it seems.
Lately, I've been forgetting a lot of things though so I need to keep a diary I think.

We're in the same boat @Dk5 . It's as though things totally skip my mind. I was worried today because there are somethings I have NO recollection of.
Lists, writing it down helps.. anything else you can think of?
