Re: Group Fiction Writing.
Graham briefly felt weightless as the rainbow lights around the portal begain to slowly coalesce into a white tunnel. The tunnel walls faintly glow with spectral waves, rippling like a gentle zephyr across a lake.
They both begin to slowly drift down the tunnel as if pulled magically towards some far distant point.
Faint chimes waft through his mind. A melody he can't quite make out, but soothing and relaxing. It caresses his soul. The music of the gods he thinks to himself.
He could feel May's small fingers begin to clasp tighter to his hand. A dark ebony point in the far distance starts pulsating and expanding. He feels no fear, just calm acceptance. A faint tingle of excitement fleetingly courses through his body. The distant point glows softly as an oval window forms.
There is no sense of time passing as they both are drawn inexorably to the shimmering dark pool. Blue lights flicker as twinkling lightning bolts shimmer across the pool's surface.
May gasps as they begin to accelerate towards the pool. Graham gives her fingers a reassuring squeeze. She can feel his firm grip. This must be it, she thinks to herself. The end of the road or the end of me. She quickly closes her eyes and mentally berates herself - whatever it is, I can handle it.
As she slowly opens her eyes, a sense of puzzlement fills her as she sees...

😟 I'm so confused...
Hang in... just read introduction. Love to write, but not sure about this 'letting go of reality' thing lol Come back later when my 'fun' light comes on 💙

Re: Group Fiction Writing.
Unicorns grazing in a field of Lilacs, Pegasus with their back hooves hooked in the V of
branches in the trees, with their wings folded around in front of them, hanging upside down
like bats! 2D dogs, that looked happy & as far as May could tell, perfectly healthy, just absolutely
flat! Strangely what puzzled May the most was Millie, larger than life, about the size of a
person if she were to stand up on her hind legs. Puzzlement quickly blurred into bewilderment
when Millie opened her mouth and said . . .

"You look like a Venus fly trap waiting for that fly to come along", Mille said to May. "You have kept living in your own illusion for the past decade, but there comes a time when people like yourself choose to lift the veil and see past their own illusions".

Re: Group Fiction Writing.
Hi @Former-Member
I do hope that your fun light comes on soon. I feel like we are a little stuck in the storyline right now. Need people with imaginations to come and help us find a way through this portal thing. At the moment I am wondering if we should just leave the portal and go back to school?

Re: Group Fiction Writing.
May stood there incredulous and looked over at the handsome young man with the dazzling black eyes and the cheeky grin. She wondered to herself about him but then she realised, he was now absolutely dripping in colour. She looked at her own drab outfit to find that too had been transformed into an absolute rainbow of colour. Milly the cat was right! She had been so stuck in her own illusion of how the world should be that she hadn't even considered that another whole reality was even possible. The windows to her soul had come crashing down and lay sparkling in a million colourful pieces on the ground. How could this be? She wondered to herself and yet the boy that she was with was obviously comfortable with his surroundings like he had been here before. How could she not have seen the portal before?
