You sent me some rain this morning. Thank you very much. The humidity this week has been most uncomfortable.

I’m passing rough timber through the thicknesser to dress it and beads of sweat are hitting the wood like polka dots - Eew

Huck, I’ve found a kindred spirit. A new member of the Women’s Shed, Basia, preferred name Bas.

We have very similar skills and want to pursue wood turning, joinery and welding. The old boys are stoked!

Happy Women's Day @Glisten I used to do voluntary work for the International Womens Development Agency over 30 years ago. Its so far back no-one would remember me. Well enjoy your day on the steps of Parliament House. Its really hard for older women with finances. The over 50's demographic situation doesn't look the best nowadays. Its a given - they raise families, don't get an income, don't retrain, divorce and wind up homeless with no savings.  I'm glad I never married and had children.  Sometimes being disabled offers a safety net with a guaranteed disability pension. I would have loved to house an over 50's lady who had no options but my situation kind of does not allow for it. But I am very aware of the situation facing mature women today in this world.

dont think it matters how old house is, meter box has to be legal @saturnzoon  their problem re another switch, else just get box aircons, put in window and plug into normal power point. i would not get portable ones unless evap, personally. i paid a lot of money for one years ago , was super noisy and didnt really do much , its like having a heater in the house if anywhere except right infront of it.
