..just saying @ENKELI been a while (8 years now) since I looked into it , cant even remember names of payments.
I rarely had 'real' jobs I would do a few weeks at a time or a lot less even, just to keep money ticking over

Hey there @Adge 🌺
Here's the link to where you can make a complaint if you feel its worth doing: DES complaints
I hope it is helpful in some way... maybe even by having a chat with them on the phone, they could give you a ballpark of what is right and wrong in terms of what the DES is expecting of you, if you feel like that might be of help 💜
Thanks heaps to @Oaktree and @TAB for the help in finding 🙌😊🌺

@TAB I looked into the other types of payments. They are in NSW I am in WA so I think Centrelink might think it a bit weird that I am caring for a parent on the other side of the country!
I spent 8 years doing just that, doing casual work but it had a detrimental effect on my MH because I was constantly worrying about paying my mortgage, car, rates etc etc. Plus 8 years without holidays, it sounds silly but I was constantly stressed about wanting to have time off but not being able to afford to.
I just want something that will carry me to retirement and then not have to worry about bills.

@TAB ha ha, good old centrelink!
Meanwhile I have family members who believe that if you are on centrelink it's because you're lazy and a bludger. Standard answer to "are you working?" is "yes, doing administrative work for a local company not far from home." Usually shuts them up, though I am surprised that they've accepted the same answer every few years regardless of whether I'm working or not.

Hy @Former-Member I hear you mate.. The grid is just not up to the task of taking the power we want to
sell them, to get returns on our investments. @Former-Member The Honda running on eco throttle
is almost inaudible. When I go bush, on the rare occasions that I use it, It runs at the end of a 18 mtr
lead. I cant hear it inside my little motor home.
When I talk about a battery bank, I'm not talking about a 10 grand major installation. The farm had
a couple of grand worth of lead acid batteries. The batteries are the stability between the "tap"
running in. and the "tap" running out. . . as well as storage. With the right inverter, it is possible to run an air con on a couple of tractor batteries. The catch is, It will only run for a few minutes.
So I had heaps of tractor batteries paired up. and a marine wind turbine and a handful of old BP
solar panels and I never needed to switch over to the grid. 12 volt meant I did not need an electrician.
I have actually made a sound proof box for a larger diesel generator. Basically its a box, " within" a box. both made from 6mm fibro, a wall cavity of 120 mm then 6 mm fibro again. The cavity is lined
with marine carpet. Lead sheet, and cavity filled with vermiculite or sand. Exhaust needs a 3mtr baffled
pipe and a small inline fan for air. For about 1200 bucks you'll have an almost sound proof box. The lead sheet is the most expensive part but you need it for the lower frequencies that travel.
But Sand Bags work very well too, till the sun breaks them down. White wash them..
But . . . Before you even think about doing any of this... DON'T RE INVENT THE WHEEL . . .
Go look at what thousands of sailors do on their yachts, and go to a large reputable off road van and motorhome retailor. At any given moment , their are 300,000 people travelling in their buses and vans, around Australia. and a range of technical magazines that support them.
The Wanderer Magazine, is what I get, but way better ones than that are on line.
These people took all the guess work out of things for us, years ago. . .
Hi @ENKELI .. Mate I am good but really tire easily these days. Spent the day painting a scene
on a big glass door with a brush and some small sponges, Just to see if I could..
I'll post a pick when its finished.
How are you @ENKELI .. Looks on the map , like you have a little cloud cover. Hope thats natures umbrella, with a little rain. @TAB Not asking how you are mate. I've seen the weather map...
Sorry fella. That area seems to repel cloud, hey mate, and I see it was another world global heat
record again this month.
Not that it will help much . . . but thats the only reason I will be switching to solar..
take care folks. And I still gotta get to the music thread @greenpea tns
