Re: Good Morning!

I hope it helps @TAB 🌺🙂💜

sounds like there’s a bit more investigation into the mask, machine, and breathing that could be really beneficial ☺️

Re: Good Morning!

@TAB wow you've been everywhere, man! Don't know if you know the song I'm referring to.

I really don't like living in Perth, especially after a particularly awful year last year and I had hoped to move to the country but unfortunately things didn't work out. I have 12 months left on my mortgage and if I was able to I'd sell up and move down south I think.

The only 2 states I haven't visited are NT and Tas and they are both on my bucket list. NT in winter and Tas in summer!

Thank you for your service. I have the utmost request for anyone who voluntarily serves in the armed forces. It's a tough life and regardless of whether you were on active duty or not you deserve to be saluted.

I see you guys are going into a 7 day heatwave, stay cool my friend and I hope you have air conditioning or the ability to remain cool.

Re: Good Morning!

Thats interesting @ENKELI I did check out Bunnings but I wondered if it would be enough to power an air conditioner. But 4 days running a fridge, freezer and lights is pretty good going. I know you can get an electrician to connect it to your meterbox. I spoke to someone in chat on Bunnings service a while back and they suggested large jerrycans on there so I would know where to buy those. So thats not a problem. Do you buy your fuel from a petrol station? Is it diesel or does Bunnings sell the fuel? Does your generator make much noise and how far away from the house do you have it to avoid fumes? My front door has the meterbox and I have no garage to put the generator in. I presume it just sits on the lawn.

I hope your day went ok @Oaktree ? 🌺🙂💜

Re: Good Morning!

yeah, i was square peg in round hole in Army , less said about that the better @ENKELI  lol

anyway I got through it somehow.

yeah, not been to NT, went to TAS for like 4 days once. not seen most of QLD, but not a huge fan, not seen most of NSW either , or VIC, or big parts of SA, done back roads a bit since moving here, def worth a look, even if just driving through.

Re: Good Morning!

Wow @Adge  🌺

that’s sounding not right…

I have included this Fair Work  reference that discusses it, in case it’s helpful? 🙂🌺

I feel a sense of injustice that is like wearing sandpaper for a tshirt when it comes to the type of hoop-jumping that’s been presented to you, and I’m really sorry to hear it’s just one thing after another 😔❤️‍🩹

Re: Good Morning!

generators these days pretty quiet @Former-Member  yeah meter box at front of house, hey? maybe special thick lead from genset to meterbox and have it around the back of house? in Army they used to dig holes for small generators , stops the noise lol if get commercial looking one like on machinery sites they are all covered in, so min  noise, would have to be permanently in place tho as too big to move yourself.

What can be run on 10 kva generator?
How Many Appliances Can I Run? 10 kVA single phase diesel generators, such as the Hyundai DHY12000XSEm-RS, are powerful enough for most homes and businesses. It can safely run 1 refrigerator, 1 microwave, 2 televisions, 1 kettle, 6 lights, 3 laptops, 2 air conditioners,1 monitor and 1 printer at once.17 Oct 2022

Re: Good Morning!

@Former-Member I'm in suburbia so am mindful of where the generator is placed. Usually my brother sets it up outside in the back yard, about 3 metres away from my back door. I would say it's no louder than a lawn mower, actually I can ignore the genny easier than the mower. We also bought a couple of jerry cans and just refill them at the local servo as it runs on good old petrol.

I just spoke to my brother about it and he said he bought the one he did specifically because it had a large enough fuel tank to run for several days and ease of use, no need to mix fuels etc.

Interesting that you can have them wired into the metre box, though I wouldn't in my suburb lol!
