Re: Far and Away
@Zoe7 yes where my sister works in a specialist organization they have copious amounts of forms they have to fill out regularly asking them questions such as how they are enjoying their work, are there any problems etc etc there can be pages and pages of it all human resources information but at the end of the day she has to do it in her own time and she hates them and finds alot of the qestions repetitive.
Yes they are both gorgeous human beings :)xx

Re: Far and Away
One of the things we collectively do as teachers when we have such reviews is complain about how much paperwork there is but it falls on deaf ears - then the government wonders why results go downhill. Maybe if they stopped bombarding us with such frivioous questions they would actually get a workforce that were more sble to support the kids - after all that is our primary job and why most of us got into the job in the first place. ...and most of those questionnaires are geared towards what they want to find out not what we actually wnt to say @greenpea - ridiculous in the extreme.

Re: Far and Away
@Zoe7 yes even my sister who deals with old people and their hearing aids has to do similar stupid forms. It is ridiculous.

Re: Far and Away
Good morning to all here today
@Zoe7 thanks for tagging me in. I'm not responding a lot yet since returning, but always love to follow what's happening with you. Sounds like you had a huge week but are staying on top of things and keeping a balance with your outside-work life too. Nice to hear your pdoc is acknowledging how far you've come - I've seen this too over the last 15 months or so.
Always great to see the mutual support happening in this thread. Hi also to @Faith-and-Hope @greenpea @Former-Member @Shaz51 @Maggie and anyone else here I've missed.
Will be hanging out at the Saturday Soiree - all welcome!! a bit today if anyone wants to chat.
Hope today is one of the better ones for you all xx

Re: Far and Away
@eth Had a lovely conversation in the early hours with my little pea @greenpea - worth being up late for
@Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @greenpea @Former-Member @Sans911 @Snowie @Adge ...
Struggling to get moving today but need to soon to get things done - otherwise I will not be able to have enough rest when I need it to be able to tackle the week ahead. My aim is to get most done today so I can have a little rest and recovery tomorrow. I was going to mow the lawn today and spray the front yard but it is way too windy - great for drying the washing on the line but not for being outside. I still do not cope well with the wind and being so tired need to avoid any triggering situations I can ...to the best of my ability. I actually talked to my pdoc about that yesterday - avoiding the news or any media that would trigger me (especially with recent events) as well as any situations that could possibly do the same. I think I am getting much better at all that and it is helping.
Could happily snuggle up with Toby today and let the world pass me by but have to get things done to make the coming couple of weeks a little easier. I have been functioning (just) on very little sleep and no real time to myself this past couple of weeks and that is not sustainable - so work needs to get done this weekend to help find that balance again ...not ideal but necessary.
