Re: CHRISTMAS TABLE
Sorry @Former-Member As there is no-one to cook for here (except myself), & no Visitors.
I don't cook or eat anything different or at all special, on Christmas day.
Just my usual fare.
It's 10 years since I had a Christmas meal with family (ex-Inlaws) sort-of.
So I am not full of suggestions, & cannot refer to what I'm having myself - because I'm not having anything.
Except Pudding - That's the only thing even slightly "Christmassy" at my place.
I was given several Puddings (in food Hamper).
So if you have Pudding - make sure you have some really nice Custard (or even Brandy Sauce), to go with it.
Oh, & Fruit Mince Pies (if you like those) - I love Fruit Mince Pies.

Re: CHRISTMAS TABLE
These are easy @Former-Member ..... mush up a shop bought Christmas cake with some heated jam and melted dark chocolate and roll into truffles. Drizzle some white chocolate on top and cut some bits of red and green jelly lolllies to make the holly. They make a nice gift for neighbours or anyone too, popped into a patty-pan and tied up with a bit of cellophane, as a single little surprise.

Re: CHRISTMAS TABLE
Hey @Former-Member
I’m a roast turkey fan with pumpkin, sweet potato, potato, parsnip, carrots and peas with gravy and cranberry sauce.
i do a Pimms punch then pudding with brandy custard.
For those who like the “bottom of the food chain” there are King Prawns 🦐
Let’s see how I go with one arm!!
@Adge I hope your Christmas dinner happens for you.

Re: CHRISTMAS TABLE
Yummy @Zoe7
@Adge I totally 'get' it (being unmotivated when nobody else to share it with) but one thing I'm trying to teach myself is that it's ok to fuss just for me. Its hard cause i have much self loathing, but its nice to do something DIFFERENT if I can, even if just for me, and Jesus. I'm thinking 🤔. I Use to make ice Christmas, coconut ice, vrum balls... for gifts... Anyway, I'm lucky I MIGHT have son for dinner so a couple things. Your suggestions of 'pudding' is yum, bum but will have to be choc or caramel as he dislikes fruit. Hey, apple pie 🤔👍 Might have to lock up in garage So i don't pigout again beforehand 😞 I just googled 'table setting for one" for you (?us) Adge, we can still make a fuss for ourself. Feels odd when ya not use to it, don't I know it 💙
@LostAngel, wow, you've suggested a lot too. Hmm, where to begin? Roast lamb & veg &is graveyard is my sons favourite 🥩 leg-a-lamb or steak 😲👍
@Faith-and-Hope - love that, and it sounds easy. See how I go, might be good for my neighbours I know too 👍
Hey @Eve7 can't eat seafood here (re asthma) but turkey sounds good 🤔👍
Gosh, so many suggestions. I don't wanna T-H-I-N-K 🤔
or make D-E-C-I-S-I-O-N-S 😥
yikes, starting to stress out already, deep breaths, deap breaths!.....
So scared of stuffing up 😥

Re: CHRISTMAS TABLE
When you put love into the meal it is always enough @Former-Member Just go with what you can manage and keep it as simple as possible - the enjoyment is in being able to relax and put everything else aside for at least that one day.
