You guessed right about the quiet day today, @CheerBear. I'll probably just mainly let the bigness of the experience yesterday settle into place, do some things on the computer, a few domestic things, and otherwise take it easy and go with the flow.
I've caught up on your posts in this thread from yesterday. Good to see you getting loving support here. More hugs to you for this rough time.

What a blessing a new day can be, @CheerBear.
Wonderful that the seasonal family excitement is starting to build up at your place now, especially for the little fish, though I feel for you a lot with the ongoing nausea. I've read about your xmases before and often thought it would be great to have a mother like you, so creative and caring.

@CheerBear, I think you are wise to take a little longer with this decision, so that it is less sudden and more considered. As you say, it is more likely to sit well with you in the long run if you do that, and it seems you do have the time (though I get how tempting it might be just to get rid of the nausea!) Supporting you either way, all the way.
Hope the day is very kind to you and the fish, CB, and thanks for being here for a chat this morning once more.
