Re: rough time
I know he gets frustrated himself but I don't really think theres a reason to take it all out on me. I cant talk to him about it either as it makes it worse. hes been going most of the day and I regret coming home again now. since ive been back not one family member has been around or offered to help out. im guessing they've realised its not the most exciting job. they probably found it easy as they literally just had to keep and eye on him. they brought him meals over which was much nicer the the soups I had for him but he lost almost a weeks worth of pills somewhere while I was a way and no one knows where they are so just had to fork out another 40 for them. its just taken my loan repayment so im guessing im going to now get a black mark on it and its only the second payment 😞 the house wasn't clean when I got home so I done a few small things since being back home but honestly I just cant be bothered now .
aww that sounds painful, I hope the plastics clinic was helpful today. the stronger pain meds often make me feel abit sick so try to limit those.
does anything help the pain like heat or ice packs or any essential oils?
naughty cats, good to see Jaspers back to his usual self atm though. are your sleeping tablets not helping as much now since your going to bed later?

Re: rough time
im so glad your recovery has been good, sounds like a few little things still need to heal so please still be careful. I know how independent you are so just a gentle reminder to take care and be mindful.
I think some of the discomfort may be due to where the stitches are placed. one side is ok but the other side has more and differently placed stitches. if I try to close my mouth its like theres to much swelling so im constantly biting the inside of my cheek or gum so I have to be really careful. im suppose to be able to eat some softer foods now and be able to chew a little but im not able to. I see the specialist in a few days thankfully so ill be finding out what might be happening and also find out more about the surgery. the nurses weren't to informative and didn't see dentist etc while I was there.
that numb sort of feeling is weird. its like knowing how it should feel like water running over our skin but you cant really feel it.
ive been using some heat or ice packs to try and relieve that weird numb, tinging itch ive been getting. starting to really drive me bonkers as it happens at night to so makes it hard to sleep.
I was told these stitches take longer to dissolve but at least I wont need them taken out. I can live with the annoyance of being able to feel them as long as the gums all heal up.

Re: rough time
Hello @outlander
Sorry about using a medicine name @Former-Member , sometimes I just forget. I haven't checked the email yet, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was @outlander 😉 {I'm a forgetful old woman! 🙂 }
We'll be careful together @outlander Both of us have felt pain before, I don't think either of us want to feel it any more than neccessary 😉 Maybe those stitches are deliberately longer to dissolve, so they can protect the incision sites longer, because of the swelling? I would have thought the swelling would be going down by now, it's been over a week hasn't it? I'm glad your seeing the specialist in a few days {hopfully a couple after today}. Your body needs nutrition to heal, have you tried 'Ensure' (it's not a medicine, it's a nutritional drink), you should be able to get it at a chemist, it is a almost full nurtitional supplement {the hospital grade one is a full replacement} or maybe the hospital grade Sustagen {don't know if that's how you spell it, my Daughter got me some}. Heat & ice packs sound like a good idea! Are they helping? Have you looked up which is better, the heat or the cold? I'm guessing your rinsing very regularily with salt water? Nag, nag, nag, = love, love, love
Sending you gentle hugs & stroking your hair gently whilst I fuss over you
