Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

sounds like a good morning @Darcy

mr shaz is good at the moment

finding that balance is very important , I am  knowing now that if he does too much , other things start happening imaging thigs that are happening , his OCD starts, anxious , overthinking , making mistakes and soo on

anyway step D1 rang up mr shaz ( she tries to ring every week to talk to him )

after she finished on the phone she texted me saying " is dad ok "

I said it has been a big week and it has been very hot

step D1 is the same as mr shaz but no medication , she will go on and on until drop -- but over the years she is now learning to stop before that (i have told her )

so now she has her wipe out days , she can`t stand anyone with her -- her boyfriend tries to support her by being there with her but she pushes him away

now she tells him when it is that day and he will go fishing or something else

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

D1 having a management plan that works for her = 👍.

Having boundaries that are respected =👍

Have noticed if things get a bit much for the twin that his OCD traits increase too @Shaz51 .

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

@Darcy

I never relized until we were watching the insight show about OCD

and mr shaz said he was diagnosed with it years ago

need to look up OCD too

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Arrgh OCD is the pits. 😳@Darcy @Shaz51  I very much sympathise with Mr Shaz and Mr Darcy. Mine always gets worse when my PTSD is triggered or if feeling overwhelmed.

Are you feeling a bit better now @Shaz51 ?  Hoping the meds you were given for the acidosis might be having a beneficial effect by now.
