Hi Happyness,
I have heard of the term 'Lost Soul'. When I think about it, I feel that a lost soul is someone who has a decision to make... but doesn't know what direction to go, where to find answers or which decision to make. I think we have all been there at one time or another.
Is this a term that you relate to?
I'm glad you have found the forums - we're all here to help each other.

It seems like your in the midst of some challenging thoughts and emotions at the moment. The forums is definitely the right place to express & explore some of those thoughts & emotions. We have a great community of people here, who are very supportive.
Have you been diagnosed with depression disorder? I sense from some of your other posts you are linked in with professionals, is that a correct assumption? If not, I can offer some suggestions.

It sounds like you are really struggling with a lot of "STUFF" at the moment, which can feel like carrying around a millstone or being drowned in the midst of a black cloud.
Yes I am familiar with the term Lost Soul. I hear you feel lost, and you are confused and overwhelmed - never truly lost.
You said you are stuggling with reading at the moment, which must be hard - one of the things I tend to do when I am really struggling is to read voraciously - literally bury myself in a good book - usually science fiction or fantasy. This helps give me a bit of a break from feeling so overwhelmed.
I also sometimes enjoy reading books which help me to work on myself - to increase my self-compassion and understanding. One of my favourites is Thomas More's Care of the Soul (which the local library might have, or even an op shop as it was published in '92). The first coulpe of times I read it I didn't really feel like I understood it, but some of it must have sunk in - now I feel like I understand a lot more of it but gain more insight each time.
I also find listening to music helps. When I am really overwhelmed then strangely music which helps me to cry is the thing I need - as the grief just builds up until it is like a tidal wave and I can't seem to let it out. Then I turn the music up fairly loud and allow myself to grieve, to really howl if I need to. It is exhausting but very cathartic, and I always feel relieved afterwards.
