Re: Over whelmed

Sorry to hear that mate, I hope you're able to keep your spirits up and  come to terms with things as they progress. Nothing more challenging than dealing with cancer. Just know you helped me with your kindness and I’m forever grateful. thank you for that.

almost forgot to tag/rage you

Thanks for the rage @Dj 😂

It's just one of those things I think.  I'm not sure anyone comes to terms with it but you try to get on with life in spite of it.  Maybe i'm just not at that point yet... who knows.  I do try to keep doing the things i enjoy though.  A big one is trying to support others going through their own tough times.  Whether its cancer or mental health.  So knowing that you found what I said that helpful just means so much to me and reminds me that I can still do some positive things with whatever time I have left.

Re: Over whelmed

Feels trivial to go from the previous conversation to this but sometimes distraction is a good thing.
I found a copy of Double Dragon for Atari 2600 yesterday in great condition with its registration card and the booklet showing other titles … slippery slope but looks like I may fall into retro gaming now 🥺

you’d know a lot more about them but was the Australian edition as the case and booklet has an Aussie address - but handwritten in black marker on the cartridge is written Demos. Not sure if this means the game itself self is only a demo or if it was stock that a salesperson had to show others … so now I have the impulse to get a 2600 console just to find out lol 😂

@Dj

I don't have many original cartridges for my 2600.  I have a cartridge that is loaded with cartridge images so it comes up with a menu (with very blocky text) and you select the game you want.

I also build an arcade cabinet a few years back with a 1000s of arcade games on it.  I really love the old retro games from when i was a kid.  It just takes me back.  I also have about 16TB of emulator images.  A lot of duplication but you can get builds that have pretty much every system, with every game on them.  It can get addictive! 😂  Especially when you start buying original systems.  Even those little LCD handheld things we had back in the 80s are worth a bit now.  I hope I haven't started a new collection addiction for you. 😁
