Hi @Jojo67

Welcome to the Forums

Good on you for reaching out. It can be really daunting learning anything new, let alone doing therapy by yourself.

Feel free to ring in to the Helpline on 1800 18 72 63 between 10am to 10pm Eastern time to talk through some options

These links might also help...

The later also has a list of free eTherapy sites

All the best

Re: Newbie

Hi and welcome, @Jojo67 , it's good you've joined 🙂

I haven't done DBT myself, but starting therapy is hard. I have heard good things about DBT though.

I am hoping that other people who've done DBT will be along shortly here. In the meantime, can you set up a reward system for yourself? e.g. Open and read the DBT stuff for 10 minutes, then get a coffee and a cake. Then read for another 15 minutes, then something else as a reward, etc.

A handy forum tip is if you type @ and then click on a name in the drop-down box, that person will get a notification and won't miss your reply.

I hope you find the forums supportive.
