Newbie
Hi I'm 53 and trying to do DBT at home alone as I live in the wheatbelt WA
I'm not going to good with it, in fact for some reason I can't even open the first page, hoping to get some support

Good on you for reaching out. It can be really daunting learning anything new, let alone doing therapy by yourself.

Hi and welcome, @Jojo67 , it's good you've joined 🙂
I haven't done DBT myself, but starting therapy is hard. I have heard good things about DBT though.
I am hoping that other people who've done DBT will be along shortly here. In the meantime, can you set up a reward system for yourself? e.g. Open and read the DBT stuff for 10 minutes, then get a coffee and a cake. Then read for another 15 minutes, then something else as a reward, etc.
A handy forum tip is if you type @ and then click on a name in the drop-down box, that person will get a notification and won't miss your reply.
