Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Owlunar

I'm glad that your daughter is improving. Good news. I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder. That's not good.
thinking of you always

take care xxxx

hi 👋 @Emelia8 @Shaz51 xxxx

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar  Some good news at last with restrictions easing. Maybe, if your very sore shoulder allows, you might be able to get a hair cut.

I hope it’s the start of things getting back to some kind of normal, if that’s a possibility. But, it’s good news at least.

I hope your daughters recovery continues to improve, and that you can stay with her when you get yours done. It’s a bit like changing of the guards right now. But I hope your pain eases, or disappears altogether, that would be nice.

Take care @Owlunar . ❣️❣️🦉🦉🦉

Hello @Owlunar

Heart

Glad your daughter is doing well considering the operation.  We never really know how, and it sounds as if she has her appetite back.

Heart

Your shoulder must be frustrating you no end.  Hope it gets treatment and better soon.

Heart

I was driving across town with my son today. The traffic is back ...

GLAD the restrictions are easing ...  ha ha @Emelia8 loved your pics.  Lovely to see you both floating around.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Appleblossom @Maggie @BlueBay @Anastasia @Emelia8

I love all those pictures - esp the one needing a haircut - my hair is really worse than a bad hair day - like other people I have the lock-down look -

I am glad we can have our hair cut -I am glad we can have our hair cut -          I just have to find a hairdresser that has some time - from what I heard on the news some salons opened at midnight on Monday morning and seeing as I don't actually have my own hairdresser right now I am not trying to jump the queue anywhere - I will hunt one down on the internet - I will just give them time

I could have done things yesterday but I didn't feel well - I am sure it was not the coronavirus - just something I ate - possibly the sugar-free sweets I got at the chemist - I took yesterday off and watched TV - we all need time-out at times

My daughter is recovering - I am glad to say - and no doubt she will be starting to get out and about a little - it's her husband's birthday this week and I need to get a card and some Quick Picks to mail - maybe I will be able to get down to their place and see them but the older kids will probably want to see them for his birthday too -

I'm glad to see you here BlueBay - you seem to have been quiet lately - I hope life is being kind to you - you deserve some pleasant time after the winter you have had - I think the Crowded House has to have been stiffling

Thanks everyone for your best wishes - and I really believe it's time for coffee

And about my shoulder - I have a telehealth call with my specialist next week - in the meantime I get as much attended to as possible before I take the medication - strange stuff - I am useless for a couple of hours after I have taken that but it does work

Have the best day possible everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Owlunar

hope you are doing okay.  I'm having trouble with bursitis in both hips now.  First in my left, now right.  Painful to sleep, can't find a comfortable position.  Public holiday today is crazy down my way.  People everywhere, it feels like Christmas.  I am sure that a lot of them are NOT from here or 25km away.  Went to supermarket before and it was so busy, car park full and roads busy with cars everywhere.  I was supposed to work today as it's my normal shift but manager took it off me becasue of public holiday.  It's very annoying.

Hope your shoulder is not too painful.  thinking of you

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay

It's good to see you here

You know I think this public holiday is ridiculous  - how many working people would attend the parade that's not happening and we couldn't go to anyway? That's my opinion anyway  - and it's comlicated to have people crashing your space when the lockdown is still in place   -  I think I have my Irish up - whew

I know bursitis in your hips is painful  - perhaps a day off will give you a chance to rest  - did you see your doctor about getting an order for a shot into your hips? I had one of these a few years ago- It was not pleasant but it worked

And yes  - my shoulder is painful but I have a plan for when I talk to my specialist next week  - my GP increased my oral medication for a short spell - I am well cared for

I haven't seen you around lately but then  - I haven't been in much either  - hopefully the lockdown will ease a great deal after this weekend

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Owlunar

I had a cortisone shot in February while in hospital but it didn't last long. Maybe a month. My doctor doesn't suggest snother. He said I need to see a physio. I'm in a bit of psin lately. Very hard to find a comfortable position at night. He also suggested losing weight. Now that's a problem for me. I can't lose the weight. But that's another issue.

it's been raining all night and still quite heavy. Looks like staying inside tiday. Little A is going to her dads which gives everyone a break.
I'm sorry I'm writing too much on your post.
snyway stay warm and rest up xxxx

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay

I'm glad you have written something on my thread - I have missed you lately

Yeah - the weather has been gross over this long weekend with the pointless public holiday and - guess what - we have another one in next week - aw - I am getting pretty fed up with the status quo - it's getting pretty flat with so little to look forward to

Look - I know how painful bursitis is - and I am not sure if a physio would help - the inflamation would probably do better with rest - but that's just my opinion. Heat and ice and heat and ice can help too - I try that one but go easy with the ice myself - heat is wonderful - it seems to get right into the problem but still - it's hard to deal with.

My shoulder bites a lot - at least I have my telehealth call this week - I am really glad of that - it's with my specialist and I hope he can do the procedure again - it worked really well the last time - - aw - that was wonderful - it's only over the last few weeks that things have got difficult

I was thinking about having a small child in a Crowded House with 5 adults through the lockdown - difficult - when I was a young woman - and my brother a young man - we had 5 adults living with a child and she was a spoilt brat - giving everyone a hard time and it was for years and impossible to get any peace at the weekend - I'm not saying A is spoilt at all - just much younger than my sister. It is a difficult situation and not easing yet - and I am totally over it myself and I am here on my own

The weather doesn't help either - it has been a bleak winter and tough. Personally though I am happy enough to have the lockdown continue while there is this outbreak in the north of the city - a long way off - I know - but that virus is a tough and clever one and can spread fast

So yeah - I can hear you
