That’s the look I’ve noticed @Mazarita, @greenpea from my groups. I find it baffling how a med can increase weight and shape in such a concentrated area. I understand how chocolate and other food works for me 😳:face_with_rolling_eyes: , it’s an even spread. I’m hoping not to offend. It’s truly just an observation. All of my groups are through community mental health.

@Teej, I think it's because of changes to the metabolism with anti-psychotics. Mood stabilisers also put on weight but it doesn't seem to be so concentrated on the belly. I'm about to change anti-psychotics too as of the end of next week. Another rough ride ahead for a while, perhaps, just as the new mood stabiliser is starting to even me out. At least that's a bit of good news (though it's only been the last few days I've been feeling a bit better on it). Very frustrating, yet so common, side effects of our meds.

I hope the ride is not too rough @Mazarita. I’m so glad things have picked up for you. It’s good your psychiatrist is supporting this change for you. I think maybe it’s something that is in the forefront of meds now. My new psychiatrist refused to prescribe me the antipsychotic that I used as a prn for those reasons. I miss it but I accept that it wasn’t essential for me like it is with many.
Ill be crossing fingers it goes ok over the next month then. I really hope you find the new combination successful without the side effects 🤞
think ill I’ll try to get going now. Thanks for the chat all. Best wishes 🤗💜
