need some advice

hi everyone

guess yous heard about the lockdown in south australia.

was wondering if you cant yet afford your own place because youre hanging out till you can buy and not rent and be limited to what you can do to place even if its just a shed and part time place to start with what else you could do to have your own space and a proper shed and still be able to go to it and/or not have them close during restrictions and lockdowns.

the only options for those things had to close during the lockdowns and it happens every time theres one, at the moment the local mens shed is only option for a proper shed and cabins/apartments are only option for space and trying to make the best of them atleast until things get better and am able to get own space.

live with other people which am ok doing, only thing is yard is nowhere near big enough to do much wether its put a tiny house there and shed at least until am able to buy own place, then would at least have something, what other ways are there during lockdowns.

if yard was big enough to do more and have own space then lockdowns and/or quarrantine would only be a minor inconvinience and not a big one like it is now.

realising that the person that am living with which am happy doing while saving deposit and things for as long as possible wont be able to afford to trade up and realising that its only fair that you pay your own way.

is there ways in mean time until you can do what you plan.

reason for waiting is that want to buy and not rent and be limited to what you can do to place.and whatever outcome is the current home will be the primary home as am otherwise happy there at moment.

thanks

Re: need some advice

A tiny house is a good option.  Having a small garden to work on helps and if you can plant a few fruit trees to make an orchard then you are set. You don't need a huge amount of space... Just enough to move around a bit outside to hang laundry... And garden and see the sun.

Lockdowns will be common in the next 10 months or so.  Wish you all the best in your plans to set up your own tiny house. If you do a Google Search you can see photos and videos of tiny houses.

Re: need some advice

in south australia will councils likely allow tiny houses on vacant blocks or tiny houses on wheels brought there from somewhere else anf ifso how would they have to be put on block

live in copper coast south australia if it helps
