@Shaz51 that's a really good strategy! Now that I think about it I've got a garden in my backyard but haven't thought about going in to take photos of the flowers there 💐 Thanks for sharing that!

I find that for me, being creative with different ways of being creative can often help me with my mental health as it gives me different avenues to express myself. Depending on my illnesses, I sometimes find that I can calm myself down by doing some knitting which is great as it means I don't have to take a medication to do that. Other times, I find that colouring in by drawing abstract shapes can do the same. If I'm feeling anxious, cross stitching helps as it allows me to take my stress and anxiety out on the fabric, especially if it's a peice of fabric with no pattern or design allocated to it, as it means I get to choose what I want to stitch where. It's about being free and being mindful yet having fun at the same time.

I paint mandalas on stones and canvas. It blocks thought and really help conversation, when I can do it test is.

I forgot about journaling @Former-Member. Thanks for reminding me of it. I find that it works for me in all sorts of ways.
